Halle Berry's love for Pierce Brosnan never dies.
In an interview with WIRED, the Oscar-winning actress, 58, reflected on starring alongside Brosnan in the James Bond film "Die Another Day," and she had nothing but great things to say about him.
"He will always be my Bond," Berry said. "Always. I'm a Pierce Brosnan fan. He restored my faith in men on that movie. There couldn't be a human who is more of a gentleman than Pierce Brosnan."
Berry starred as "Bond girl" Jinx, an NSA agent, in the 2002 movie, which marked Brosnan's fourth and final time playing Bond after "GoldenEye," "Tomorrow Never Dies" and "The World Is Not Enough."
"Die Another Day" was released the same year Berry won the best actress Oscar for her role in "Monster's Ball." Daniel Craig took over the role of Bond in 2006 with "Casino Royale."

Halle Berry feels 'part of cinematic history' after starring in James Bond film
Speaking with WIRED in an interview answering search queries, Berry said that while starring in a Bond film wasn't on her "wish list," she always "loved" the series, and "having been in one, I feel like I'm a part of cinematic history."
"Those movies are iconic," she said. "They will forever be a part of our history, and I'm really honored to have been a part of one − especially with Pierce."

A spinoff centered on Berry's Bond character was discussed but never happened, which the actress told Variety was "very disappointing."
"It was ahead of its time," she said. "Nobody was ready to sink that kind of money into a Black female action star. They just weren't sure of its value. That’s where we were then."
This isn't the first time Halle Berry praises Pierce Brosnan
The "X-Men" star previously recalled on "The Tonight Show" in 2020 that Brosnan saved her by performing the Heimlich maneuver when she started choking on a fig during a scene in "Die Another Day."
"I was supposed to be all sexy and trying to seduce him with a fig, and then I end up choking on it," she recalled. "He had to get up and do the Heimlich. So not sexy."
"He was there for me," she added. "He will always be one of my favorite people in the whole world."
Berry also named Brosnan as one of her favorite former co-stars in an interview with Sky News alongside Penélope Cruz and Billy Bob Thornton.
