Two Florida women are (pre-tax) millionaires after winning the state's $1,000,000 A Year for Life Spectacular second prize. The winners both won in October and claimed their prizes five days apart.
Luisana Dorado, 39, of Naples, claimed a $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 A Year for Life Spectacular scratch-off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee on October 18.
She bought her winning ticket at Circle K on 13550 Tamiami Trail North in Naples. The store will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
The following week, on October 23, Terasa Katsaros, a 51-year-old resident of Parrish, claimed a $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 A Year for Life Spectacular scratch-off game at the Florida Lottery's headquarters.
Katsaros bought her winning scratch-off ticket from Publix in Parrish at 11245 North US Highway 301. Publix will receive a bonus of $2,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
Katsaros and Dorado received their winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000 instead of acquiring an annuity payment of $40,000 for 25 years.
